Confused trip - Lassen Peak Trail

On Saturday, we went to the Lassen Peak trailhead to ascend 2,000 feet to the top. The trail is 2.5 miles long. There were a lot of high winds while making our way to the top along a ridge. The views along the hike were very nice.
