The glacier covers the top half of the valley. When you are approaching the
end of the glacier, you have to start skiing on the right side to keep up enough
speed for the flat section at the bottom.
The sides of the valley are very
steep, and some of them have double black diamond runs.
Once you are at the bottom, you have to double pole a little bit to the start
of the Blackcomb Glacier Road, which runs from the bottom of the valley to the
Excelerator lift, which is 6 miles from the top of the glacier. From the Excelerator
lift, it's another 3 miles to the Blackcomb base in the Whistler village.
